Food as Practice. Spices as Culture.

Seven Bites began in my home kitchen in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, not as a business idea, but as part of everyday life. Cooking was a necessity, yet it quickly became a way to slow down, to care, and to create moments of presence and balance within daily routines. Over time, the kitchen became a place of grounding and reflection.
In my grandmother's kitchen, spices were never simply ingredients. They carried memory, knowledge, and intention, shaping not only how food tasted, but how it was prepared, shared, and felt. Through watching, tasting, and participating, I learned that cooking held meaning beyond function. Approaching food with care gradually transformed my relationship with everyday cooking. It became a reflective practice rather than a task.
As my life became more international, I began to explore food, and especially spices, as a way to create connection and shared understanding among women. Through cooking together, eating together, and exchanging stories, food became a bridge between cultures, generations, and lived experiences.
Today, Seven Bites grows from these origins. It is a food practice shaped by real people, real kitchens, and the realities of modern life, where cooking, care, and cultural knowledge come together in everyday use.
Seven Bites explores food as a source of wellbeing, learning, and cultural connection, where Middle Eastern spice traditions meet Nordic and Mediterranean simplicity. The approach is rooted in everyday cooking and designed to feel accessible, grounding, and meaningful rather than complex or performative.
Inspired by the idea of the seven senses, Seven Bites understands food as more than taste alone. Touch, scent, sight, sound, intuition, and emotion all shape the cooking and eating experience. Cooking becomes a sensory practice that invites presence and attention into daily life.
Seven Bites brings together shared experiences and thoughtfully developed products to explore how spice-led food can take form in workshops, meals, and everyday use. While formats may grow and evolve, the work remains grounded in care, cultural respect, and lived experience.
